# Sign in

> Create an account, sign in, and sign out.

## Creating an account

Two ways:

    Register with an email address and a password of **at least 8 characters**.

  <Tab title="Google">
    **Continue with Google** on either the sign-in or sign-up page. Google is the only OAuth provider for Synclify accounts.

    (This is separate from the Google Sheets *data source*, which is not yet available.)

New accounts go straight to [onboarding](/data-sources/connect-webflow) to connect Webflow.

## Signing in

Same two options. If you registered with Google, use Google — there's no password on that account.

Once signed in you land on **Connections**. If you were sent to sign-in from somewhere else in the app, Synclify returns you there afterwards.

## Signing out

Click your avatar in the top bar → **Sign out**.

## Sessions

Your session persists across browser restarts. If it expires or is revoked, Synclify signs you out and returns you to the sign-in page — the next action you take will bounce you there.

## Onboarding

New accounts must connect Webflow before doing anything else. You'll be:

1. Sent to Webflow to authorize CMS read and write access.
2. Asked to select which Webflow sites to sync (at least one).

Your progress survives a page reload — leave and come back and you'll resume at the same step.

If you see **"Invalid OAuth state. Please try again."**, a security check failed: the response from Webflow didn't match the request Synclify sent. Reload and retry. It usually means the authorization was opened in a different browser or tab, or a stale page was resumed.
